Olive Oil /Vegetable Oils- Vegetable oils oxidise with time to form fatty acids which weaken leather fibers and compromise the structural integrity of the leather. Mineral Oils- These lacks deep conditioning properties. They also lead to the rapid decay of non-synthetic stitching or speed up the breakdown of the leather itself. Parafin Wax - It significantly reduces the leather's breathability, making it stiff and less flexible, and is considered too harsh for the natural fibers, while also potentially leaving a tacky residue
